Clean an above-ground pool without guessing

Clean or replace the cartridge as its condition and manual require; backwash only a filter designed for it. Use the manufacturer’s pressure guidance and the system’s clean baseline rather than a universal PSI increase. A small cartridge may need attention more often during a heavy cleanup.
4. Treat only from reliable results
Use the measured readings, pool volume and product directions to plan chemical additions. Never mix pool chemicals. Keep swimmers out during treatment and until label re-entry conditions and appropriate water quality are met. Repeated dosing without checking results can make the problem harder to resolve.
