PCC105-PAK4 is a four-cartridge replacement set. Compatibility must be checked against the exact filter model and generation, not simply a similar housing or a search result saying “Pentair cartridge.”
Read the manufacturer’s compatibility table
Pleatco’s manufacturer table lists PCC105-PAK4 elements as 7 inches outside diameter, 26 inches long, with 3-inch top and bottom openings. It lists Clean & Clear Plus 420 and specific older 520 applications; the pre-1998 qualification matters. The current CCP520 uses a different cartridge size. Do not generalize compatibility to every 520 filter.
Before ordering
- Match the full housing model and generation to the current manufacturer cross-reference.
- Check dimensions, openings and the required quantity, not just pleat count.
- Confirm whether the seller supplies one element or a set of four.
- Do not force a lid or manifold onto a cartridge that does not seat correctly.
Pressure Safety Comes First
Before opening any filter, turn the pump off, prevent automatic restart and follow that filter’s pressure-release procedure. Never loosen a clamp or lid while pressurized. If the clamp, tank or relief valve is damaged, stop and seek qualified service. Use the correct manual for the clamp style and generation.
Pentair’s Clean & Clear Plus safety resources explain its model-specific servicing precautions. Record a clean starting pressure at a consistent pump speed, and follow the applicable cleaning criteria rather than a universal calendar interval.
